Digital Commons at Harrisburg University

Digital Commons is Harrisburg University's research repository. It is a showcase for articles, dissertations, theses, projects, and other notable work by faculty, students, and staff. Works uploaded to Digital Commons are findable through Google Scholar and other web searches.

Students and faculty can publish their original work in Digital Commons, or link to work that has been published in journal articles, conference proceedings, and other external publishers. Digital Commons is also a repository for locally produced journals..

Material produced by Harrisburg University authors has been downloaded hundred of thousands of times. Submiting your work to Digital Commons allows you to:

  • Build your reputation.
  • Share your work on resumes, job applications, and professional networks.
  • Indexed your work in Google & Google Scholar.
  • Make connections with other scholars in your field.
  • Track how often your work is viewed.

Posting a document to Digital Commons does not change your copyright ownership. If you are sharing a work that has been published elsewhere, such as a journal or conference, please be sure you have distribution rights to the work. You must agree to a Submission Agreement, which asks you to confirm you distribution rights to the work.

How to Publish Your Work in Digital Commons
To publish your work in the Digital Commons you will need to:

  • Accept the submission agreement
  • Determine your Creative Commons License preference (optional)
  • Create an account on Digital Commons
  • Submit your work to Digital Commons
  • Undergo faculty review, and make any required revisions to your work
