AMA Guidelines

In academic and professional settings, citing your sources is a fundamental skill. Any time you use another person's work—whether by quoting, paraphrasing, summarizing, or copying—you must provide a citation. This acknowledges the original creator, reveals your research sources, bolsters your own arguments, and, most importantly, avoids plagiarism.

The EXSC and DPT programs at Harrisburg University use the 11th edition of the AMA Manual of Style. This page contains some resources to help you to learn more about this formatting method and includes some tools to help you to check your knowledge.

Below is a video that gives a thorough overview of AMA style.
