Statistical Analysis

Statistical analysis is the study of the collection, organization, and interpretation of data. Statistical analysis involves of collecting, organizing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to uncover patterns, trends, relationships, or insights.

Data refers to collections of numbers, characters, images or other outputs that may be gathered  through observation, measurements, ratings, or other means. Data may be expressed in charts, graphs, images, or sets of variables in an organized or unorganized manner.

Analyzing data through statistical analysis can help you make informed decisions or test hypotheses.

Statistical analysis typically involves:

  • Collecting data through means such as surveys, experiments, statistics, etc.
  • Organizing data using tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Summarizing data by interpreting results of the analysis

To get started with statistical analysis, you should:

  • Identify sources of required data.
  • Determine how you will analyze the data.
