About the Library Print Page

Library Mission

The Library contributes to the mission of Harrisburg University of Science and Technology by enriching academic and cultural experiences for the university community. The Library is driven by four overarching goals:

  1. To provide robust access to information resources of all formats and subjects,
  2. To integrate information literacy throughout the curriculum,
  3. To collaborate widely via internal relationships and external partnerships, and
  4. To provide physical and virtual spaces for free intellectual curiosity, learning, collaboration and knowledge sharing and creation.

Learning Commons Hours:
Students have 24x7 access to the Learning Commons with their HU ID cards. 

David Runyon, the University Librarian, is on campus from 8-4 most business days.  To meet with him, please schedule an appointment at or by calling 717-901-5188.  

Students and faculty may access electronic library resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Off campus use requires authentication with your HU network ID and password.
